Conservative candidates won seven of the twelve seats up for election on 22nd May, with three going to the Liberal Democrats and one each to Labour and an Independent.
The Conservatives took three seats from the Liberal Democrats; Debbie Harlow was successful in Knaphill, Rizwan Shah was elected in Goldsworth East, and in Horsell West, where Colin Kemp defeated the leader of the Liberal Democrats by 215 votes.
Council Leader John Kingsbury was also re-elected as Councillor for St Johns & Hook Heath. Cllr. Kingsbury said: "I am very pleased with the support I personally received from residents and would like to thank them for re-electing me with an overwhelming majority.
"There are exciting times ahead for Woking, with plans being finalised for the town centre's Victoria Square and the return of Marks & Spencer.
"There is also the refurbishment of Commercial Way with many new and exciting restaurants coming to the town, as well as the opening of our long-awaited indoor market.
"On top of that will be the delivery of both new and renovated community buildings around the borough.
"Under the Conservative administration Woking is being transformed, and we are grateful to residents for their continued support in this year's elections."
