There will be a public consultation on the design for the Bedser Bridge across the Basingstoke Canal following an amendment tabled by Conservative council leader John Kingsbury.
Cllr Kingsbury tabled an amendment that allows the public to have their say on the design of the bridge, which was approved as part of the WWF proposal to be built on the Brewery Road Car Park.
However, at the meeting of full council on September 22, Cllr Kingsbury told the meeting that although the bridge had been fully consulted on as part of the planning process, he accepted that people's focus may have been on the building instead.
He therefore tabled an amendment to allow a further period for people to comment on the proposals, which can be viewed at the Lightbox, the Town Square entrance to the Peacocks Shopping Centre and Civic Offices. They can also be found on the Woking Borough Council website here.
