Woking Conservatives have triumphed in both the UK parliamentary and local elections held on 7th May.
Jonathan Lord was re-elected as Member of Parliament after receiving the support of 29,199 people - 56% of the vote.
Jonathan described himself as "thrilled" and "delighted" with the result saying: "This result exceeds my wildest expectations, to have over 29,000 people from Woking and our villages put their faith in me to represent them in parliament for the next five years is a fantastic feeling. I will carry on working as hard for the next five years as I have for the last."
In the Woking Borough Council elections held on the same day the Conservatives were also successful winning 10 of the 12 seats, including gains from the Liberal Democrats in Old Woking and Hermitage & Knaphill South.
