Woking Conservatives have published their 2014 Manifesto ahead of the Borough Council elections on May 22nd, featuring a thriving local economy, excellent services and value for money for local residents.
The Manifesto sets out the Conservative Admistration's record of action since the last borough elections in 2012 with pledges which they will deliver over the next 12 months.
Promises achieved include investment in the local economy with the completion of Jubilee Square with more shops and restaurants, investment in local communities such as Horsell Scout and Guide HQ, the new St Johns Memorial Hall and many others, excellent recycling services with Woking now 13th in the country, and improved green spaces across the Borough such as the Hoe Valley Country Park.
Future pledges cover:
- Keeping council tax low while maintaining all Borough services.
- Further investment in Woking's economy to attract new business and jobs, including apprenticeships for young people.
- Continuing to deliver excellent recycling services with a 65% target.
- More investment in local communities.
- Improving publicly accessible green spaces with more play and sports facilities for young people.
- Continuing to provide affordable homes for local people.
The promises in this Manifesto highlight the Conservative vision and determination to make Woking an even more attractive place in which to live, work and play.
